We specialize in the rural justice market, where needs differ from urban justice markets. The SouthBuild Team is an easy to remember label for this special group effort by Smith-Doyle Contractors and the SpiritArchitecture Group, LLC. Each member is an independent company connected by a common goal—a pleased clientele. SpiritArchitecture carries out the design role. Then, Smith-Doyle Contractors, Inc. executes the construction management role.

Cost Control

Our Process
Our BuildTrue Process recognizes the need for timely construction-side input to provide cost control expertise. The process also recognizes the need for timely design-side input to provide tailored design solutions. Finally, the client provides key direction for the entire team. This interactive approach from the outset allows for scope control AND cost control.
Your Project
Projects are publicly bid with sealed bids opened at the client’s location. Local participation is highly encouraged with approximately 70 to 80 percent of the trades being from the project's region.
The BuildTrue Process has proven to be very successful at accurate budgeting. In fact, the SB Team has a 100% track record of staying within budget. Further, all savings remain with the client.
An important key is the work session, we interact with the law enforcement staff to ensure a design that minimizes the need for additional staff.
Common Sense Application
The SB Team is knowledgeable of many justice issues from funding challenges to inmate management approaches. We also apply ‘common sense’ Needs Assessments to arrive at practical solutions which allows the team to build new or convert other types of buildings into justice facilities.
